A WORD FROM IRIS BAHR
We all have our insecurities. Things we want to improve. We want to be more confident, be able to lead but we don’t believe we can. Because we are shy, or or, (in our minds), awkward, not good enough. Well, guest what? Some world leaders are socially awkward in intimate situations, but in front of a crowd transform into completely different beings. Some of the greatest actors in the world are extremely insecure, and yet convincingly play charismatic leaders on stage and screen. What they do is strikingly similar, and it doesn’t involve “faking it”. If they were, you wouldn’t believe them. It’s because the greatest leaders, performers, and executives, tap into the parts of themselves that are world leaders. They utilize their bodies – their voice, posture, mannerisms, working from inside out and outside in, to access the untapped magic intrinsic in every one of us and unleash it to the world. That’s how I help people. I work with you to identify what’s holding you back, body and mind. Together we tap into your inner magic and what makes you special, i.e Your untapped charisma. That “it” factor that can always be stronger, more luminous and effective in your life, your love and your happiness. HOW IRIS WORKS
Iris Bahr is an award-winning writer, actor and director. She has performed her one-woman shows to much critical acclaim and commercial success. Her work has been seen across the globe, from London to Mexico City, from commercial theatres to outdoor festivals, all the way to the United Nations, where she performed for over 100 ambassadors and delegates.
As a teacher and coach, Iris works with people that seek to improve their public speaking and presentation skills, work on their writing and storytelling abilities, and tap into innate strengths that have not reached their maximum potential. She combines various techniques to get her students into their bodies, strengthen their voices, strip away any physical habits that are getting in their way, and tap into authentic emotions so they can best reach their audience, both mentally and emotionally. Through this work she builds their confidence as performers, presenters, storytellers and leaders. She has worked with seasoned actors, finance executives, and people that are seeking greater leadership opportunities. All benefit equally from her hands-on, emotionally intuitive and creative approach that has resulted from over 20 years of experience as a performer.
ARTIST BIO
Iris Bahr is an award winning writer, actor, director and producer. Her critically acclaimed solo show, "DAI (enough)", in which she played eleven different characters in a Tel Aviv cafe moments before a suicide bomber enters, had an extended hit run Off-Broadway, and won the prestigious Lucille Lortel Award for Best Solo Performance, as well as two Drama Desk and UK Stage Award nominations. Her first solo show, "Planet America", received an LA Weekly nomination for Outstanding Solo Show and is currently in development as a feature film. Her third solo show, "Death is What You Make of It" is currently in development.
As a stand up comic, Ms. Bahr has performed both in the US and abroad and was chosen as one of the New Faces at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.
She has written two humorous memoirs, Dork Whore (Bloomsbury) which was also a bestseller in Europe and its sequel Macchu My Picchu (Skirt). Her books have been translated into German, Portuguese and Italian.
Having appeared on numerous TV shows, Ms. Bahr is best known for her TV series Svetlana, which she also wrote, directed and executive produced for Mark Cuban's Hdnet, and her recurring role on Curb your Enthusiasm, where she plays the Orthodox Jewish Girl that gets stuck on a ski-lift with Larry David.
